Fuck.Life.

Well, okay, I'm kidding, but STILL. Crisis Core left me in uber despair!!!! I won't spoil it, since I have one other friend who hasn't beaten it, but srsly...Alex, you were so right, the ending made me bawl like a fucking baby.

Square Enix has a wonderful method of making you feel like shit when you're in a depressing battle...Kinda like how I heard when Aerith dies in FF7 and there's sad music when you're fighting uhh...Jenova? It was similar, but now that their graphics are beyond Godliness, you feel more like a rotten piece of shit because you can actually SEE perfectly what's going on with Zack.

I was spending the night at with her and for a fun little CCC gathering. (Even if we're not a legit club, we're just BFFLs that made this club for the lulz orz).

I was on the second to last battle in Crisis Core, and got so fed up with how ultimately difficult it was for me, that I let Allison have at it and beat Genesis for me. It's not like I totally ruined it for myself, because I kept dying and it was at a point where I had every line that Genesis pulled from Loveless memorized. That's a bad sign, people, especially when that cut scene is like...FOREVER long!

Anyways, after Allison beat it, I got to fight Genesis once more (cus he never wants to die for some fuckin' reason), and got toward the end. And we ALL know that Zack dies, right? We knew this in FF7 without knowing much about Zack in the first place. So I was emotionally preparing myself before I even bought the game.

Piece of advice...emotional preparations don't work for this...Square Enix, like I said, are geniouses at making you feel like shit.

Again, I won't spoil it. We all should know how Zack dies, but this game just totally illustrated it in a surprising way. Moyra decided to watch it, despite that she wasn't even done with the game yet, and we were both bawling when we saw it.

I know, we're total losers for crying at the end of video games, but it's very much like crying at the end of a movie. You get attatched to the characters and then it's all downhill from there. And when I first found out about Zack which was....about a year or so ago, he immediately became my favorite character, so I was all sad when I saw him die.

All in all, I give Crisis Core a 9 out of 10. The gameplay is amazing, I love the storyline, despite Gackt's created character that caused the entire history of FF7 to be changed slightly. The animation from Square never ceases to amaze me, and just gets better with every game. Zack's character was laid out very well, his dorkiness made the game fun, and made the ending very intense.

As for the battle system, it's okay. It's the reason I didn't give a full ten. I don't like that you have to give Zack turns of what move to use. Unlike in DOC, where Vincent could shoot several times, and attack melee without problems, Zack had them. If you hit X on normal attack too much, and have to heal, you're fucked if you get caught in a stream of monsters because Zack won't stop hitting them.

So! We be good! The game is great, and I hope all of you get it if you have a PSP. Highly recommended, and a great waste of time so you forget to do your homework~
